Office IT for a lighting shop: Outlook 2007, Windows 10 and 15 GB of mail moved to Windows 11
Hellis Lights ran its office on a Windows 10 computer with Outlook 2007. We moved the equipment, the mail and the settings to a new Windows 11 setup, saved the shop money, and stayed on as its IT support.

The problem
A working shop on an old setup: Windows 10, Outlook 2007, and about 15 GB of mail in archive files on one machine.
What stood in the way
Legacy software that new systems do not talk to, and a shop that had to keep working.
What we did
- Moved all the equipment from the old setup to the new one.
- Moved all the mail, with the address list, the signatures and the rules.
- Handled the legacy software, Outlook 2007 included, so nothing stayed behind.
- Explained each step in plain words.
- In October a Windows update moved the Documents folder into OneDrive and Outlook lost its files. We fixed it on site, in the same visit, and closed both follow-ups.
What it means for you
Moving an office is mostly moving what nobody wrote down. We start from a list of what the old setup holds, then go through it carefully, so the business keeps working and the invoice stays fair.
